For some inexplicable reason the above thread was 'closed' by Gwenny. Doc and I would like this to be reopened cos its a very important and relevant subject. Doc and I have a lot to offer on this, being parents of our children. It would benefit ALL forum members.

I would ask the forum members to open up new forums for the subjects that interest them. It is not intuitive how to do this... you can only do it apparently from the introductory forum. Perhaps this could be made easier.

I think a pics section would be good, where forum members could post pics, dirty or not, and other members could comment

Mr Blonde thanks for the suggestion. The short answer to this is something is in the works.

In the near future members will be able to create their own blogs and profile pages. As soon as we have worked out all the technical issues we will make an announcement.

probably not much you can do about it, but I see a number of threads that started months ago, with people who haven't been here since still getting pushed up to by posters. Would there be a way to signify a thread is dead for the less astute? perhaps a color code or something that stands out.
I know I am new and it really isn't my place, but it does seem that keeping dead threads from being shoveled back to the top of the pile by overzealous posters would help out.
